Thrash metal legends Anthrax have once again fueled anticipation for their long-awaited new album, debuting another snippet of fresh material, this time featuring lead vocals, during a recent live performance in Adelaide, Australia.

The preview took place on March 25 at Hindley Street Music Hall, where fans captured footage of the band slipping a partially completed track into their set. Unlike earlier teasers, this latest snippet offered a clearer glimpse of the song’s vocal direction, giving audiences a more complete sense of what’s to come.
A Growing Pattern Of Live Teasers
This isn’t the first time Anthrax have road-tested new music in front of fans. The band previously introduced an early instrumental snippet during their 2026 Canadian tour alongside Megadeth, signaling a deliberate strategy of building hype through live previews.
By gradually revealing pieces of new material onstage, Anthrax appear to be embracing a more organic rollout, letting fans experience the evolution of songs in real time rather than waiting for a polished studio release.
New Album Momentum Builds
The upcoming record will mark Anthrax’s first studio album since 2016’s For All Kings, ending nearly a decade-long gap between releases.
According to drummer Charlie Benante, the delay in releasing the album stems partly from a recent management change, with the band opting to align their rollout strategy with a new team.
Despite the delays, excitement remains high. Benante has described the forthcoming material as both “abrasive” and more mature, hinting at a blend of classic thrash aggression and evolved songwriting.
First Single Coming Soon
Fans won’t have to wait much longer for an official release. The band is expected to drop the first single from the new album in May, offering the first fully realized taste of the project.
Australian Tour In Full Swing
The Adelaide performance is part of Anthrax’s ongoing Australian tour, which kicked off in Brisbane on March 23 and includes stops in Melbourne and Sydney.
As the band continues to refine and showcase new material onstage, each performance is becoming a must-watch moment for fans eager to hear the next chapter in Anthrax’s storied career.
