Rock legend Sammy Hagar has significantly revamped his upcoming 2026 U.K. tour, swapping out large arena dates for smaller, more technologically advanced venues in a move designed to create a deeper connection with fans.
Originally announced as a traditional arena run across cities like Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, and London, the “Best of All Worlds” tour has now been reimagined into a more immersive concert experience.
A Shift Toward Intimacy And Innovation
The decision stems from Hagar’s recent Las Vegas residency, where he experienced the benefits of performing in a cutting-edge, mid-sized venue. According to Hagar, the combination of superior sound, advanced production technology, and closer audience proximity inspired him to rethink the U.K. shows.
“After waiting 30 years to come back, we really wanted to get this right,” Hagar explained, noting that the more intimate environment allowed for a stronger connection with fans and a more dynamic performance overall.
New Venues And Updated Dates
The revised itinerary now features a handful of select venues, including:
- Wolverhampton – University of Wolverhampton at the Civic Hall (July 6)
- Manchester – O2 Apollo (July 7)
- London – British Airways ARC (July 9, 11, and 12)
The London shows will take place at the newly developed British Airways ARC, a state-of-the-art venue designed to deliver a “tech-forward” concert experience. The run will also include a rare three night residency, with Hagar promising a fresh setlist each evening.
Arena Shows Scrapped
As part of the overhaul, previously scheduled arena performances, including a major date at London’s O2 Arena, have been canceled. Ticket holders for those shows are being offered refunds and priority access to the newly announced dates.
A Career Spanning Setlist
Despite the venue changes, fans can still expect a powerhouse setlist celebrating Hagar’s five-decade career. The shows will feature material from his time with Van Halen, alongside solo hits and selections from projects like Chickenfoot.
Classic tracks such as “Why Can’t This Be Love,” “Poundcake,” and “I Can’t Drive 55” are expected to make the cut, offering a comprehensive journey through Hagar’s legacy.
A Long Awaited Return
The tour marks Hagar’s first U.K. run in roughly three decades, adding extra significance to the revamped approach. By prioritizing atmosphere and innovation over scale, the Red Rocker appears determined to deliver not just a concert, but a fully immersive rock experience.
Tickets for the updated dates are set to go on sale April 24, with strong demand expected following the announcement of the more exclusive, limited capacity shows.
