Heavy metal titans Iron Maiden have revealed they will play two final shows before taking an extended break from touring that will keep them off the live stage until 2028.
The legendary British outfit confirmed that the pair of concerts will serve as the closing chapter of their current touring cycle, bringing to a pause several years of relentless global performances. While the band emphasized that this is not a farewell, they made it clear that fans should not expect to see them back on the road for at least the next few years.
In a statement, bassist and founder Steve Harris expressed gratitude to fans worldwide for their unwavering support. “We’ve had an incredible run,” he said. “The energy from our fans has been phenomenal, but it’s time for a short breather and to focus on what comes next.”
Frontman Bruce Dickinson echoed the sentiment, assuring fans that the band remains creatively active. “This isn’t the end by any stretch,” Dickinson noted. “We just need time to recharge the batteries. There’s still plenty of fire left in Maiden.”
The announcement follows a hugely successful stretch of shows that have seen the band revisit classics from across their catalog, alongside newer material from their most recent studio efforts. With elaborate stage production, their iconic mascot Eddie looming large, and a setlist packed with fan favorites, the tour has reaffirmed Iron Maiden’s status as one of heavy metal’s most enduring live acts.
