Rock and blues legend Eric Clapton has just unveiled a fresh round of U.S. tour dates this coming fall, and fans have plenty to be excited about. At 81 years old, the iconic guitarist shows no signs of slowing down, with a six-city trek across the Midwest that will feature a very special guest: blues guitar stalwart Jimmie Vaughan.
A Legendary Lineup Hits The Road
Clapton’s short but high-impact tour kicks off on September 6, 2026, at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, and wraps up on September 17 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, with stops in Cincinnati, Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul along the way.
Serving as special guest at each show will be Vaughan, the celebrated Texas bluesman known for his soulful playing and deep roots in American blues, as both a solo artist and founding member of The Fabulous Thunderbirds. His presence promises a dynamic musical pairing, blending his signature blues feel with Clapton’s world-spanning repertoire.
Backing Clapton this year is a familiar and seasoned ensemble of musicians that includes guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, drummer Sonny Emory, keyboardist Chris Stainton, bassist Nathan East, organist Tim Carmon, and vocalists Katie Kissoon and Sharon White, a band built for tight, expressive live performances.
