Fans of shock rock pioneer Alice Cooper will soon have a new way to revisit one of the most important chapters of his legendary career. Rhino Records has announced The Studio Albums 1975-1978, a comprehensive box set collecting Cooper’s first four solo studio albums, set for release on July 31 in both 5LP and 5CD editions.
The collection spotlights the period that followed the breakup of the original Alice Cooper band and marked the beginning of Cooper’s highly successful solo career. At the heart of the set is Welcome to My Nightmare (1975), the platinum-selling album that introduced fans to a more theatrical and ambitious side of the rock icon. The release launched a new era for Cooper and remains one of the defining records of his catalog.
Also included are Alice Cooper Goes to Hell (1976), Lace and Whiskey (1977), and From the Inside (1978), four albums that showcased Cooper’s evolution as both a songwriter and performer while expanding his reputation as rock’s ultimate showman.
In addition to the original albums, the box set features a bonus collection titled Bonus Misdemeanors, containing seven rare tracks and single versions. Highlights include alternate versions of “Welcome to My Nightmare,” “Department of Youth,” “Only Women Bleed,” “You and Me,” and “From the Inside,” along with “No Tricks,” featuring Betty Wright, and “Road Rats.” The bonus LP in the vinyl edition will be pressed at 45 RPM for enhanced audio quality.
The 5LP version will be available exclusively through Rhino, while the 5CD edition will be widely available through retailers and online outlets. The CD box set is listed with a July 31 shipping date and is aimed at both longtime collectors and newer fans looking to explore Cooper’s formative solo years in one package.
The release arrives during another busy period for Cooper. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member continues to tour extensively and remains one of rock music’s most enduring performers. His official memoir, Devil On My Shoulder, is also scheduled for publication later this year, adding another major milestone to an already eventful 2026.
