Sir Paul McCartney is set to spotlight a transformative period of his post-Beatles career with a new companion soundtrack album tied to his forthcoming documentary Paul McCartney: Man On The Run. The soundtrack, titled Man On The Run – Music From The Motion Picture Soundtrack, arrives on February 27, 2026, the same day the documentary premieres globally on Amazon Prime Video.

A Curated Musical Journey Through The 1970s
The soundtrack offers a handpicked selection of 12 tracks spanning Paul’s prolific creative decade following The Beatles’ breakup, a time when he reinvented himself as a solo artist and with his band Wings. It includes a mix of beloved classics, deep cuts, and rare recordings that together paint a vivid musical portrait of McCartney’s evolution during this era.
Among the highlights, the album features three previously unreleased songs, with two rare Wings tracks already made available exclusively on Amazon Music ahead of the full release:
- 🎶 “Arrow Through Me” (Rough Mix). A previously unreleased alternate version of the reggae-tinged Wings song originally from the 1979 Back To The Egg sessions.
- 🎤 “Live And Let Die” (Live from Rockshow), A live rendition of the iconic 1973 Wings track from the band’s 1980 concert film Rockshow.
- “Gotta Sing Gotta Dance” Another unreleased gem, first heard in The James Paul McCartney TV Special from 1973 and now making its debut on this soundtrack.
The rest of the tracklist blends well-known hits, demo versions, and remastered favorites by McCartney, Linda McCartney, and Wings. Songs like “Silly Love Songs” (demo), “Band On The Run,” “Mull Of Kintyre,” and “Let Me Roll It” round out the collection, offering variety and depth for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
