Pink Floyd are marking the golden anniversary of one of their most beloved albums with a celebration worthy of its legacy. To honour 50 years of Wish You Were Here, the band has announced a series of immersive pop-up stores launching across the UK, Europe and the United States, a worldwide event designed for fans, collectors and newcomers alike.

Beginning December 12, 2025, exactly five decades since the album’s original release, the pop-ups will transform select kiosks, newsstands and record shops into Pink Floyd-themed spaces, each featuring limited-edition memorabilia and exclusive anniversary items unavailable anywhere else.
A Global Rollout Of Immersive Pop-Up Spaces
The pop-ups form part of the “Pink Floyd × News & Coffee Studio – 50 Years of Wish You Were Here” campaign. Cities confirmed so far:
- London
- Paris
- Barcelona
- Berlin
- Milan
- Los Angeles
Each location will feature a unique visual identity inspired by the album’s themes, absence, disconnection and surrealism, echoing the style of the iconic artwork created by Hipgnosis in 1975.
Exclusive Items Available Only At The Pop-Ups
Fans visiting the stores will be able to purchase:
Numbered “Wish You Were Here 50” Fanzines
Each city gets its own exclusive cover, turning the fanzines into highly collectible pieces. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Limited-Edition White Vinyl
A special white-vinyl pressing of Wish You Were Here 50, available only in-person at these pop-ups. Supplies are extremely limited and expected to sell out quickly.
Curated Anniversary Merch
Commemorative items celebrating the album’s legacy, all curated specifically for the anniversary campaign.
These pop-ups aren’t simple merch booths, they’re atmospheric, curated installations designed to recreate the world of the album in physical form.
The Music Returns: A Definitive 50th Anniversary Reissue
Coinciding with the pop-ups, Pink Floyd are also releasing a major 50th-anniversary edition of Wish You Were Here, featuring:
- A new Dolby Atmos mix that reimagines the album’s sonic landscape.
- Previously unreleased alternate takes, demos and studio versions.
- Restored 1975 live recordings, officially mastered from the legendary LA performances.
- Multiple formats including vinyl, CD, Blu-ray and an expanded Deluxe Box Set.
The reissue offers what many fans have hoped for: a deeper look into the album’s creation and the emotional weight behind its composition.
Half A Century Later — Why This Album Still Resonates
Released in 1975 as the follow-up to The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here has long been considered one of Pink Floyd’s most introspective and emotionally charged works. Its meditations on absence, exploitation, loneliness and the music industry remain as haunting and relevant as ever.
From “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” to the title track, the album continues to strike a powerful chord across generations, a timeless reminder of both human connection and the pain of losing it.
A Celebration Designed For The Fans
More than just an anniversary, this campaign feels like a thank-you to the millions of listeners who have kept the album alive for 50 years. Whether you’re hunting for rare vinyl, revisiting the music through new mixes, or simply stepping into the visual universe of the record, the pop-up experience is meant to be both nostalgic and new.
Pink Floyd aren’t just commemorating history, they’re inviting fans to relive it, re-examine it and carry it forward.
