The Warning is a hard rock power trio from Monterrey, Mexico, made up of sisters Daniela (Dany) Villarreal (vocals, guitar), Paulina (Pau) Villarreal (drums, vocals), and Alejandra (Ale) Villarreal (bass, backing vocals).
The band first gained attention in 2014 when a YouTube video of the sisters, then just preteens, performing Metallica’s Enter Sandman went viral, earning millions of views and praise from rock fans worldwide. Their raw talent, stage presence, and musicianship drew comparisons to some of rock’s biggest names.
In 2015, The Warning released their first EP, Escape the Mind, funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign. They followed with their debut full-length album, XXI Century Blood (2017), showcasing original material with themes of youth, rebellion, and empowerment. Their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene (2018), solidified their reputation with a darker, more conceptual sound.
The breakthrough came with their 2021 EP Mayday, released through Lava Records/Republic Records. Singles like Choke and Evolve earned heavy rotation on rock radio, and their live performances proved the trio could command major festival stages as easily as their viral videos suggested.
In 2022, The Warning released Error, a full-length album blending heavy riffs, progressive elements, and sharp lyrics about technology, identity, and modern pressures. They went on to tour internationally, opening for giants like Foo Fighters, Halestorm, and The Pretty Reckless, while also headlining their own sold-out shows.
Today, The Warning is hailed as one of the most exciting young rock bands in the world, carrying the torch for the next generation of hard rock with their mix of raw power, musicianship, and fearless creativity.
